MAKING PARENTING EASIER
Is your home life feeling chaotic?
Let me spare you the energy of wrangling, yelling, or telling your kid the same thing for the hundredth time, so that you can spend it having fun and making sweet memories together.
Hi, I’m Alena. I’m a Child Behavior Specialist and Parent Coach helping families bring peace back into their homes. I work to support, problem-solve, and equip parents with effective tools to manage their child’s tricky behaviors and create systems for positive change.
This is a judgement-free environment where we are all on the same team with one common goal. Using the science of behavior, I’m confident taking on any challenge in order to bring harmony to your household.
“Children will listen to you
when they feel listened to.”

How It Works
I’m able to produce effective change by implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) tools. ABA is based on the psychology that humans continue to engage in behavior that produces a positive outcome and stop engaging in behavior that results in a negative one.
First, I work to find the underlying source of WHY the behavior is occurring, then replace the challenging behavior with an appropriate equivalent that feeds the same function (the “why”), and then reinforce THAT behavior. Over time, and with consistency, the appropriate behavior continues to show up, whereas the unwanted behavior fades away.
When a child learns that screaming and crying for something no longer WORKS to produce their desired outcome, but asking appropriately DOES, then tantrums begin to decrease and appropriate language increases.
I have seen kids go from frequent and intense behaviors to virtually non-existent using the principles of ABA. My goal is to show you how to apply these skills with your child so that you can glide smoothly through challenges again and again, across any situation.
What will the process look like?
STEP ONE: CONSULTATION
First, we will meet for a consultation to discuss your biggest struggles and concerns regarding your child and family dynamic.
STEP TWO: OBSERVATION
Then, an initial observation will take place where I will witness current patterns and exchanges within the home. Then you and I will discuss in a parent meeting what I’ve gathered from the observed behaviors, what tools I recommend, and plans for moving forward.
STEP THREE: INTERVENTION
Next, we will move into intervention which consists of 3 consecutive days of my in-person guidance, access to my parent manual, and real-time problem solving in the home to address and work through challenges.
STEP FOUR: MAINTENANCE
Following the intervention period, we will fade to maintenance check-ins on a weekly basis either in-person or virtually.
